Calvin Barry spent sixteen years as a Senior Crown Attorney, and has prosecuted at all levels of trial court, which included several high-profile cases and more than 100 jury trials.
Mr. Barry has focused his entire legal career on criminal law. He has defended drug related matters, murder & assault, but his primary focus is on defending charges related to drinking and driving. He is currently a member of the Criminal Lawyers Association and has served as the following in the past:
Treasurer of the Ontario Crown Attorney’s Association (1994-1995)
Member of the Ontario Crown Attorney’s Association Finance Committee (1996-1997)
Member of the Toronto Mayor’s Task Force on Drugs (1995-1998)
Director of the board of the Ontario Crown Attorney’s Association (1990-2000)
